Telehealth Terms
Last updated October 12, 2026
These terms apply to the hepatitis C telehealth program offered by Fresh Start Health Centers through hepcnow.com.
Who can use this service
- The program is available only to patients who are physically located in Kentucky or Ohio at the time of each telehealth visit.
- Patients must be 18 or older.
- Care is provided by Fresh Start clinicians licensed in the state where you are located at the time of your visit. Your clinician decides whether telehealth is appropriate for you and may recommend an in-person visit or other care.
Not for emergencies
This service is not for medical emergencies. If you think you are having an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
How the program works
- Lab testing is required before treatment and to confirm cure. Labs can be drawn at Quest, LabCorp or a Fresh Start location.
- Prescriptions are written only after a clinician evaluates you and reviews your lab results. A prescription is not guaranteed.
- Prescribed medications are dispensed and delivered by our partner pharmacy. The pharmacy will contact you to arrange delivery.
- Before your first visit, you will be asked to review and agree to a separate telehealth informed consent.
Costs and insurance
We verify your insurance benefits before your first appointment and explain any expected costs in advance. Coverage depends on your plan. Checking your eligibility is free.
